The sales figures use Etsy's definition of gross merchandise sales, the value of items sold through its marketplaces, excluding shipping fees and net of refunds from canceled transactions. The seller-census figures come from Etsy's 2024 seller census, so they should be read as a snapshot of Etsy sellers rather than all small businesses.

The latest buyer, seller, quarterly sales, and U.S. buyer figures come from Etsy, Inc.'s quarterly report for the period ended June 30, 2026, filed August 5, 2026. The remaining annual figures come from Etsy, Inc.'s 2025 annual report, filed February 19, 2026, which also includes highlights from Etsy's 2024 seller census.
